When you speak to a Mentor/Expert about your issues concerns through an audio/video/ chat, it is known as an online consultation. This is a good alternative for times when you cannot visit a mentor physically due to any reason. An online consultation works the same way as a physical consultation where you get a prescription after the consultation is complete and you pay the fees online.
Yes, your data is 100% secure. Safety of your data is our top priority. We have multi-level security checks, multiple data backups, and stringent policies in place to ensure your data remains safe and secure. Additionally, we are an ISO 27001 certified company and we take data privacy and security very seriously. All data on Selfeey is secured with 256-bit encryption on HIPAA compliant servers.
As per regulatory requirements, all audio and video calls done during an online consultation with the doctor, will be recorded and stored in a secure manner. The audio calls will be shared with you at the end of the consultation which you can access inside the Selfeey app. The video calls are recorded, but will not be shared with you or the doctor. They will only be shared with a competent authority upon explicit request, in case of a medico-legal requirement. They may be reviewed for quality assurance by an in house medical expert at Selfeey.
Yes. All the doctors on the Selfeey platform are 100% genuine and their degrees have been verified. More about the verification process:
Doctors are asked to provide the following documents as a first step.
  • Government issued photo ID (Passport/Aadhaar/PAN Card)
  • Their MCI registration number
  • Copies of their medical degrees if these are not already updated in their MCI registration
  • In cases where online MCI directory does not exist, they will need to submit a copy of their license
  • Once the above mentioned documents are submitted,
  • Our team verifies the information against the medical council database
  • The degrees will be matched against the Selfeey Rulebook – a set of guidelines that define what specialisations can be claimed by a doctor basis the set of degrees he or she has; this  process is created in consultation with senior doctors, regulatory bodies as well as national associations of various specialties – making it one of the most comprehensive degree-specialisation mapping in India. 
  • For every degree a doctor submits, the bluebook will highlight a specialisation that degree qualifies him/her for, and that is shown on their Selfeey profile as well as ensures that they are shown in the relevant search results for that specialty.
  • For degrees that are not part of the Rulebook, they are shown on their profile but their specialisation shown will not take them into account and their profile will not show up in search results for any specialty where their degree is not matched with that specialization in the Rulebook.
  • Just download the free Selfeey app from the AppStore/PlayStore or Web and click on Consult after signing up. You have to complete your profile and you have to be successfully verified to get started on consultation.
    We’re assuming that you’ve completed both the sections of your profile — your details. Generally verifications are done within 24 hours. If yours has been pending for long than that then please reach out to us on 080-35010775. We will check everything and come back to you within 30 minutes.
    Once you book an online consultation on our app, you will get 15 minutes to speak to the doctor. This window can, however, change according to the number of queries you have.
    If your audio/video call gets disconnected during the online consultation, you would receive another call within a few minutes provided your internet connection is stable.
    No. We do not recommend or provide online consultations for emergencies.
    This may happen due to poor internet connectivity or due to some technical glitch. In such cases, please check your internet connection and if the issue persists, please email us at techsupport@selfeey.com with the screenshot of the error and we will get this checked from our end.
    The consultation fee will vary based on the Mentors, the specialty, years of experience of the mentors, any discounts or promotion applied, etc.
    Online consultations are prepaid and the payment can be made by either of the given ways – Paytm, Debit/Credit Card, and Netbanking, UPI.
    Yes. If you cancel the online consultation, the refund for the same will reflect in your account within 5 to 7 working days.
    After you've booked an online consultation, you can go to the ‘Appointments’ tab, select the ‘Upcoming Appointment’ tab and click chat option on the appointment card.
    Though a rarity, this may happen sometimes if your doctor is busy but there is no need to worry. Your appointment will get rescheduled automatically for the next available slot.

    We have two distinct data sets. First is when Consultants use our software to store information regarding the patients they are treating. This can include information about the patient, their diagnosis, treatment plan, any clinical notes, communication and other details. All of this is stored on behalf of the provider. And Selfeey cannot access this. It is stored privately and securely for every provider who uses our software. The other data set is when patients directly visit Selfeey and use Selfeey to store their health history or undertake a healthcare transaction, such as booking an appointment, online consultation and more. We store all this data on behalf of the patient and this too is stored with encryption and HIPAA compliant servers. Any patient, who uses our service, gives us permission to reach out to them from time to time with marketing and/or other communication which he/she can opt out of when he/she chooses so.
    We understand if you’re a bit apprehensive about how to convey warm, caring bedside manner, without seeing the patient in person. Don’t worry, we have a few features that’ll help you make the patient feel at ease, and help you consult online effortlessly.
  • Calling the patient: Hearing your voice will make the patient feel at ease, and you will be able to converse easily to elicit the patient’s history without typing a single word. Your number will not be shared with the patient, and neither will you be billed for the call. We’ve taken care of everything else, so you can focus on taking care of the patient. Make sure you wil bw havin a good internet connection.
  • Sharing images: The patient can share images with you in the chat, so you can take a closer look, and diagnose more accurately.
  • Prescriptions: With digital signatures, and a massive directory of drugs, generating an online prescription is easier than ever.
  • Quick questions: Repeating the same questions feels cumbersome? We’ve made it easy with this feature. We have preset some questions doctors commonly ask, so just select one and send it to the patient.

    Firstly, congratulations! How was your experience? We hope everything went well! Your fees will be sent to the provided bank account on the 15th Day or 30th Day after your consultation. You should receive the money in a few days, as processing sometimes takes up to 2 days. You will also receive a settlement report on your registered email address with particulars of the payment, so you can keep track of payments easily.
    Yes, you can add experts and consultant to your friend list. Simply click on top of the menu “Make friends” and find your experts and consultants then click “Add My User”. Like this you can send the request. Once the Expert accepts the request then he will be added in your friend list.
    The benefit of adding consultant to the friend list is that you can convey your concerns any time and seek advice or opinion from the consultant.
    You can see the profile of the consultant and experts in “Feature Experts” under the menu.
